Nominal "start time" is 20:00, but it picks up later, come and go as
your schedule allows.

How about we say a group order of food will be made around 21:00, if
you want to be part of it either be there by then or let someone know
in advance?  (I don't usually do the orders, I'm assuming someone else
will if desired...)
